Bacon Wrapped Scallops with Butter Garlic Reaper Sauce

Bacon Wrapped Scallops with Butter Garlic Reaper Sauce

This is a fantastic summer grilling meal! Grilling up some bacon wrapped scallops and topping it with some drizzly butter garlic sauce and a hint of reaper. You can eat them alone or put them on top of rice with a side of veggies.

Ingredients

Scallops

10-14 Large Scallops

5-7 Strips of bacon, cut in half

Kebab Skewers

Sauce

1 stick of butter

2 cloves of garlic (minced)

1 spoonful of flour

2/3 cup whole milk

1-2 Tbsp of Carolina Reaper Sauce

1 tsp black pepper

Directions

1. Take a half strip of bacon and wrap it around the sides of the scallop until the bacon overlaps. Put the bacon wrapped scallop through the skewer where the bacon overlaps to keep it in place. Do this for all the scallops.

2. Fire up the grill (Charcoal, propane etc.) and grill them over medium heat until the bacon starts to brown. Usually around 10 minutes or so. Ensure the scallops change from opaque to solid white.

3. While the scallops are grilling, melt a stick of butter in a sauce pan with the garlic.

4. Whisk in the spoonful of flour until fully mixed, then add the milk and black pepper.

5. Stir that until you reach desired consistency (needs to be thickened but still a little runny). Add water or more milk as needed if too thick.

6. Lastly, add the Reaper sauce and stir until mixed.

Top the scallops with the sauce and enjoy!
